When printing envelopes in MS Word 2003, how do I force it to single space?

Once in awhile, when I try to print an envelope from an address within a document, the envelope double spaces instead of single spacing, and no matter what I do, I cannot seem to force it to single space. The paragraph format feature has no effect. I am a moderate to expert MS Word user, and this has me baffled. Help!

  1. Are you printing from Word, or from the Envelope Print Option?
If you highlight a Paragraph, it usually allows you to change line spacing, but you say it does not.
When you highlight the Address field it should show the type of lines, you may have to change the fields to something other than “Address line”

  2. First you highlight everything you typed the go to FORMAT then go to PARAGRAPH and on the left 3/4 of the way down there will be a box that will say SINGLE or double or somthing else, you can click on and pick what you want
