PALO ALTO, Calif. (PRWEB) April 15, 2008

The contest, which ran from Jan. 15 through Feb. 28, asked small businesses in the United States to share “what their business has to say” and make a case for their need to jumpstart their brand building and marketing efforts.

Entrants submitted essays and supporting images for a chance to work with professional designers to refresh or create their brand image.

The grand prize winner, Jan Thomas of “I am enough bracelets,”(1) will receive a Logoworks by HP “Start Up Package” valued at $ 1,499 to build her company’s brand image as well as an HP Color LaserJet CP3505dn printer and a comprehensive ink and media package.

Based in Mission Viejo, Calif., Thomas started “I am enough bracelets” to promote positive self-esteem among young girls. Her homegrown business sells bracelets with messages such as, “I am enough” or “Unconditionally Loved.”

“Defining my brand image will help girls associate with a healthy, happy product and encourage them to feel the same about themselves,” said Thomas. “The brand needs to be powerful. Fun, yet serious at the same time. Accessible to everyone but special. We all deserve to believe that we are enough.”

Additional contest winners include:

— First prize winner: Ebony Martin, president of Ride N Zone, Desoto, Texas. Ride N Zone provides all-inclusive private indoor parties for children, promoting physical fitness with kid-powered rides and safety awareness on the road.

— Second prize winner: Nicholas Curry, co-founder of My Little One Inc., Denton, Texas. My Little One Inc. is a discount retailer of new children’s apparel from newborns up to size seven.

Entries were judged by Paul Brockbank, vice president and general manager, SMB Services at HP; Anita Campbell, founder and editor-in-chief of Small Business Trends; and Lauren Simonds, managing editor of SmallBusinessComputing.com.

SINGAPORE (PRWEB) December 3, 2008

Building on HP’s leading position in enterprise imaging and printing, HP’s broadened portfolio comprises four specialized solutions, four assessment services, one HP LaserJet multifunction printer (MFP), three HP LaserJet printers and an HP Scanjet device.

According to IDC, HP is the leading provider of laser single and multifunction hardcopy peripherals shipped to Enterprises(1) in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) region, with 42% market share and strong double digit year-on-year growth (+13%)(2).

“HP is continuing its efforts to help enterprises build an Enterprise Print 2.0 plan as enterprises optimize their infrastructure, manage their environment and improve workflows,” said Pierre Mirlesse, Vice President, Enterprise Sales and Services, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “The expanded imaging and printing portfolio features a robust line-up of targeted, cost-effective solutions with the right mix services and devices to enterprise customers, helping them achieve better business results.”

Specialized solutions for enterprise customers

Tailoring solutions to meet specific industry needs, HP has added new enterprise solutions focused on customers in the healthcare and manufacturing and distribution industries. HP also introduced two imaging and printing solutions and four new assessment services that span industry sectors to address specific business needs for enterprises.

Designed to streamline information workflows, enhance security and help reduce costs, HP’s newest solutions offer customers industry-specific expertise with a single point of contact for simplified sales, service and support processes. These include:

HP Document Capture for Admissions and Electronic Medical Records help reduce medical errors and boost patient safety. Designed to safely capture and protect patient medical information, these offerings let healthcare organizations utilize the latest HP healthcare technology to more easily comply with government mandates, including patient-privacy regulations. HP Automated Invoice Processing Solution allows businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industries to automate the value chain of invoice processing, from document capture and distribution across the organization to seamless integration with SAP. A joint HP and ReadSoft® solution, it captures data via an HP multifunction printer (MFP) and provides increased control over the invoice workflow to facilitate more rigorous records management and compliance; accelerated invoice payment process for better spending visibility; and improved invoice reconciliation through automated, business-rule driven processes. HP Assessment Services comprise five modules that capitalize on HP expertise and knowledge to allow enterprises additional control over print-related processes. With a range of assessment services, HP will collect, analyze and monitor printer-related activities, giving customers a current, fact-based account of the imaging and printing environment. HP Access Control Printing Solutions are designed to help mitigate security and compliance risks. These solutions, comprising HP Access Control Secure Printing Solution, HP Access Control Secure Pull Printing Solution and HP Access Control Job Accounting Solution, help control and protect access to imaging and printing devices and documents and also facilitate tracking and monitoring of the usage of documents. Updates to the award-winning HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) 4.7 empower end users to resolve issues themselves by providing real-time print job and device information. New features include the ability to choose between automatic or manual print queue configuration, allowing for pre-configuration and installation of a queue prior to physically connecting the device to the network. Businesses also benefit from a single, intelligent, feature-rich driver replacing many individual drivers, thereby making it easy to connect to HP LaserJet printing devices without downloading separate, product-specific drivers. New line-up of imaging and printing devices to drive enterprise efficiency

HP also introduced new printing devices and supplies to better assist customers in saving time and money and to increase efficiencies for enterprise and mid-sized businesses through printing and scanning devices. The new offerings include HP LaserJet mono, color single and multifunction (MFP) devices and an HP Scanjet.

PrintPOD

Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) July 23, 2008

GlobalPrint Systems Inc., the developers of the PrintPOD® Mobile Print Solution, the most convenient, secure and accessible Internet printing platform and print network, has enhanced the functionality of its PrintPOD® solution. The enhanced PrintPOD® network will enable business travelers to securely forward emails which contain document attachments to their personal proprietary PrintPOD® email address.

“Prior to releasing this feature, in order to conveniently print documents received on a mobile device like a Smartphone, many business travelers were relegated to forwarding their confidential company email and attachments to hotel personnel or others for printing,” said Bob Borzillo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GlobalPrint Systems. “With the introduction of our PrintPOD® Wireless solution, business travelers can send documents to their account and retrieve them at any PrintPOD® kiosk. The output is produced in fast, high quality color or black and white.”

Technological advances have created a dynamic mobile communicating environment. Mobile communication devices like Blackberry’s® and other Smartphones, are transforming the way business travelers and remote workers operate. Many business travelers are opting to leave their laptops at home and use their Smartphone mobile devices as their primary source for receiving email and important business documents like sales reports, contracts, financial data and presentations to name a few. Traditionally, the missing link has been providing business travelers with the ability to easily print presentation quality documents from these devices in a fast and secure manner. GlobalPrint Systems has taken its innovative PrintPOD® network of kiosks and raised the bar to a new level enabling customers to securely print their email and attachments remotely,” said Bruce Bard, President of GlobalPrint Systems. “The introduction of PrintPOD® Wireless will enable us to remain the best mobile print on demand solution for business travelers.”

GlobalPrint Systems provides innovative Print-on-Demand (POD) services to business travelers via internet connected computers, portable Smartphone devices, and memory storage devices through a secure network based printing solution. Since its incorporation in January 2005, GlobalPrint Systems has completed the development of a commercial grade, end-to-end print services network, as well as submission of patent and trademark applications under the brand name of PrintPOD®. The company launched a commercial pilot of its PrintPOD® solution in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States beginning in August 2007.
