A USB 2.0 port is left open for single host PC setups and potentially optimized operating speeds, while a front USB port is also available for various device connectivity. Phone ports are also included for faxing and an optional external headset.
A special option for borderless printing can be selected for photograph’s, but can also be used on paper up to 8.5 in. x 11 in. in size. Meanwhile, a variety of print languages come standard with the machine for maximum performance and include HP PCL 3 GUI, PJL Printer Job Language, and PML Printer Management Language.
The built in fax machine runs off of a 33.6 Kbps fax modem which allows for fax speeds of up to 3 seconds per page, while a long list of fax features and options give the machine a top of the line standing. Up to 99 numbers can be stored in the unit’s speed dial memory, as well as up to 140 pages worth of data. Other helpful features include fax forwarding, fax polling, PC interfacing, phone TAM, and a junk barrier than can work congruently with caller ID.
Additionally, color faxing is also made possible for unique fax possibilities, though color resolution tops out at 200 x 200 dots per inch versus black and white quality of 300 x 300 dots per inch. HP today expanded its color printing portfolio targeting small businesses, including the introduction of the world’s fastest inkjet printer all-in-ones and a new high-capacity ink cartridge line with HP Vivera inks.(1)

Customers share their experiences with the new HP Officejet Pro series
HP recently offered the new HP Officejet Pro L7000 All-in-One series to small business users through a beta test program. Los Angeles-based Law Offices of Philip H. Acosta tested the new products with the goal of printing marketing collateral in-house. Question by Chris Z: HP Color LaserJet 2600n-print with only one cartridge?
I have an HP Color LaserJet 2600n that I bought from a friend and I only have the black and white cartridge. Is there a way to print in black and white only if I only have the one cartridge? I tried the override for an empty cartridge, but it’s still prompting me to install the other cartridges. Is there way to fool the printer so it thinks all of the cartridges are there?

No, there is not a way to fool the printer. You have to install the color cartridges.
