New Wi-Fi Printing Technology Provides Major Enhancement for Wireless Hotspots, Eliminates Hurdles Faced by Mobile Workers who Need to print documents

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) September 17, 2007

FiveStar Wi-Fi introduced a major new capability for wireless network users today with the release of its Wireless Printout System, which lets users print files and documents directly over Wi-Fi from the website http://www.wirelessprintout.com.

Until now, mobile workers faced various hurdles when printing files from their laptop computers. Unexpected and time-consuming efforts have been typical, such as moving files onto a USB thumb drive for printing from a separate, shared computer. Some locations have their users email documents from their computers to a staff member for printing. Other venues use Internet based printing systems that require a numeric code to be entered, sometimes requiring staff assistance, in order to enable printing to begin. Other solutions offer technically challenging hurdles such as when a venue shares a printer across its wireless network, requiring users to install printer drivers for the specific make and model printer on site, as well as configure their computer for network printing. In each of these common situations, Wi-Fi users typically rely on a staff member who has sufficient technical skills.

At hotspots offering the Wireless Printout System , delays and technical hurdles are virtually non-existent. To make a printout, users open a web browser to http://www.wirelessprintout.com , which redirects the user’s computer to a Wireless Printout Server on site. Once connected, the user can quickly and easily send files for printing using the high speed wireless connectivity in the hotspot.

In beta tests, the system has proven extremely valuable not only to Wi-Fi users, but to wireless hotspot owners as well. “Customers love the ability to print from their laptops over our Wi-Fi network. I even have one customer who specifically comes to my cafe instead of others in the area because he can print from his laptop while he’s doing work here”, says Mostafa Moujahid, owner of Washington DC’s Steam Cafe.

In addition to providing fast and easy printing for laptop users, installing the Wireless Printout System in a hotspot is simple as well. Technical skills are unnecessary beyond connecting the Wireless Printout Server to the printer, attaching power cords, and entering the network name, or SSID, into the server.

“Not only can most any hotspot staff member install the Wireless Printout System with little or no technical knowledge, the simplicity of printing with this system means staff are freed from having to assist customers in using it. The only information that a user needs to know is the website name, wirelessprintout.com. Once they’re on the website, printing is extremely straightforward” said Steve Chafe, Co-Founder of FiveStar Wi-Fi.

Print Files, Images and Documents to Any Printer Worldwide for Free With Printeranywhere’s New Service

New software and technology from PrinterAnywhere Inc. enables any user with an Internet connection to connect to any printer worldwide. Users are able to share their printer or connect to another printer, without standard networking equipment, by downloading and installing the free software at www.PrinterAnywhere.com

Mission, KS, July 19, 2006 -(PR.COM)- PrinterAnywhere Inc. recently launched a new service and technology allowing users worldwide to share printer resources for free. Users of the service only need an active Internet connection and the free software available for download at www.PrinterAnywhere.com. This printer sharing technology was developed to serve as a solution in situations where fax machines aren’t available, email is an unacceptable solution because of privacy issues, and even to serve as a simple solution to often complicated printer sharing on home networks.

PrinterAnywhere.com allows two users from anywhere in the world to connect to each other’s printers to share files or important documents that aren’t suitable for other available transfer methods. The service is entirely free for users to either send files to a printer, or to receive a file from someone to be printed by their equipment. Both users simply need to be connected to the Internet during the data exchange (not necessarily at the same time), and each user needs to install the PrinterAnywhere software, which can be downloaded for free from www.PrinterAnywhere.com.

It isn’t uncommon for business professionals to use printer services with copy/ print shops such as Kinkos. PrinterAnywhere allows them to send the printouts exactly where they’re needed without having to visit a store. Everything can be done from an Internet connection. There are several situations where the PrinterAnywhere service would be beneficial including:

1. There is no fax machine available or working for either the sender or receiver of the document.

2. There are multiple computers in a home or business that need to share one printer, and typical networking equipment isn’t working properly or is too difficult to set up.

3. Documents need to be transferred which are confidential in nature, and sending them via email poses a risk of the files being forwarded to unwanted parties.

4. A student’s printer may stop functioning when they need to print an important paper or report, and they need to access another printer immediately through a friend.

5. Documents can’t be properly transferred via email, because the two users have different and incompatible versions of software for reading the document.

6. The PrinterAnywhere service allows users to print documents and files from wireless hotspots such as Starbucks and Panera Restaurants, where printers may not be available.

This new technology freely available from PrinterAnywhere Inc. provides a new document transfer and printing option to business professionals, students, and home users equally. Anyone with an Internet connection can easily download the free PrinterAnywhere software, and immediately share their printer or print files to any available printer in the world.

PrinterAnywhere is a solution to print documents from a computer connected to the Internet to other people’s printers on the network. The service allows users to share their printers with others, or to print their documents to someone else’s printer that has been made available to the network. The PrinterAnywhere service and software is completely free to download and use, both to send and receive files without having to travel to a local print shop to pick up printed documents. Filed under: Print USB — Tags: , , , , , — admin @ 11:46 am

Your printer is always thirsty for ink and you eat through reams of paper for presentations. Why not take your presentation to the next level? Use customized USB flash drives imprinted with your company’s logo for your next presentation. Leave the personalized flash drive with the client so they can refer back to it at any time. You save on paper and printing, they get a lightweight, personalized USB presentation.

The benefits of using custom USB drives for presentations are numerous, both for you and for your client.

Benefits for you:
• Updates can be made at the last minute
• Much more complete information can be left with the client
• Printing costs plummet

Benefits for your client:
• All of your presentation information is at their fingertips
• They can easily email your presentation to others in their company
• They don’t have to carry one hundred pages to review your presentation
• If hard copies are needed, they can print their own

Bulk flash drives imprinted with your company’s logo can be loaded with all kinds of company information tailored to your client or prospective client. Imagine being able to leave your PowerPoint presentation with your voice narrating it. You can also leave an audio copy of the actual question and answer part of your presentation. Add a link to your company’s website. Include a one-click link to email you directly. These are just a few ways to make the most out of your personalized flash drive presentations.

Personalized USB drives can be completely tailor-made for each recipient. Of course, you can change the names in the documents on the custom USB flash drives. But you can also include all of the technical specifications for the Chief Engineering Officer or all of your company’s catalogs for the purchasing officer. The options are virtually endless.

Also, be sure to leave memory space on the custom USB flash drives for the client to use. The client will enjoy the ease of saving documents related to your company right on the personalized USB you gave them. This means leaving the client at least 500mb of memory on your custom USB presentations.

Your company can even email updated information with instructions on how to save to their personalized USB drive. By doing this, you can keep the client up-to-date on price changes, new items, special offers, and more. If you are dealing with a client who is not computer-literate enough to complete these updates, stop by their office and update their personalized USB drives yourself. This is also a great way to get regular face-time with your customers.

Custom USB flash drives that have been personalized to fit each individual client are a cost-effective, environmentally friendly way to leave a lasting presentation.

My HP Color LaserJet 2600 started printing lines across the page when you print out documents?

The lines started really light and now are printing darker and darker. They are straight lines towards the middle of the page and then the docs are smeared toward the edge.
