USB Memory Stick ? The 8 Benefits of A USB Memory Stick that Help Your Business Grow!

For a 1GB USB memory stick with full colour printing, duplication and packed into a well designed box, the unit cost and goes as high as USD7.50 or AUD8.90 based on 500 sets.  And for a DVD-5 and a DVD case with a paper insert, the unit cost per set is only USD0.77 or AUD0.90.

But there are still many corporations using it for their business and marketing.  Why is that so and do you think they are crazy?  First, you need to ask yourself a question, would you bother to keep the printed brochures or a CD-ROM given to you during an overseas trade shows?  I think most people like me; I rather just keep their name cards to make my luggage lighter.

Let me list out the 8 benefits of using USB Memory Sticks for your business.

1)      You can store your corporate profile, video clips about your organisation, latest products catalogue, flash animation with a link to your website etc.

2)      With the new technology, some USB flash drive manufacturers can help to burn your contents “permanently” onto the memory chips.  This will prohibit any user to delete your valuable contents.

3)      You can leave some space on the USB memory for the user to save their personal files.  This is the Selling Point why users will keep your USB sticks!

4)      It is portable and light. It can put in pocket or handbags.

5)      USB memory stick comes with many different design, colours, materials and capacity. Talk to the nearest USB supplier, they will be glad to help you if you need any customisation on your drive.

6)      Print your company logo, name, contact details and website address on the USB case; it will help your customers to remember you.

7)      Set up a partition with a login/password,  you can store important information, products pricelist etc. The user will need to call or email you for the login/password before they can access to the secure partition.

8)      In the market, you can find USB drive in credit card size. Instead of giving out your standard paper name card, you might consider using USB credit card drive during your next trade shows. It will definitely impress your clients.

I think by now you should get some ideas what you can do with USB memory sticks for your business.  You and I know, USB drive is Expensive but I truly believe the” investment“will help to bring in more business for you.

My printer is an HP All-in-One. I go through the HP set up menu and make all of the adjustment to print on the envelopes, and it still doesn’t seem to be working. When I put the envelope in the paper tray exactly where the envelope icon is, the addresses are still printing on the opposite side of the tray.

Stubborn China needs to loosen grip on yuan to help global recovery
By Steven Pearlstein, The Washington Post Friday, October 8, 2010 Finance ministers, central bankers and big-deal financiers have arrived in Washington for the annual Oktoberfest of economic policymaking, and in case you couldn’t tell from the headlines over the past few days, they’re plenty worried that the global recovery is about to lose steam. Central bankers, having pushed overnight …

Help with an IP conflict preventing one computer from connecting to the network printer?

All except one of my computers run Windows XP Pro, and are all updated. They are hooked up to the internet, and all of them can reach my network printer. Except for one that is. The one in question is running Windows XP Home, also updated. It connects fine to the internet and all.

But here’s the problem, it can’t connect to the computer. I tried help from HP (I have LaserJet P4014n) but they could not resolve the problem and even sent me a replacement piece for the printer (the network part of it).

However, I don’t think that is the problem. I glanced at the IP addresses of all of my XP Pro computers and I noticed the scheme all followed:
(x is a number between 1 and 255)
IP: 192.168.1.x
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
But… The XP Home computer’s IP info is:
IP: 10.1.10.x
Gateray: 10.1.10.1

So I’m assuming, though I don’t know for sure, that the IP thing could be the problem. I tried manually giving the XP Home computer an address, but it didn’t like that.

Ok, does anyone here know what I can do to fix this problem without replacing the computer or upgrading to Pro?
Brian S: I am using DHCP.

MB: The computers are in the same workgroup, and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 for both, but I think you are right about them being on a different subnet. I will try the instructions.

I need help installing HP color laserjet 2840 PCL6 with Windows Vista?

I’m *not* a dummy when it comes to computers, but I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

My computer is in one room of our house. We have an HP Color LaserJet 2840 PCL6 connected to another computer, in another room, in our house. My “old” Windows XP computer connected wirelessly through the network to the printer w/o any problems at all. The printer is connected to the other computer, not to the wireless router.

My new Vista computer *finds* the printer on the other computer, but tells me “no driver” is installed. I’ve tried the driver disk I have (even tried changing the compatibility settings on my computer for it). Nope.

I’ve gone online, and tried downloading a PCL6 universal driver for Vista 64-bit (that’s what I have, 64-bit), and it will not install that driver (tried two different ways).

I feel as though I’m beating my head on a brick wall, trying for hours and hours, different drivers, nothing works.

I need **step by step** instructions as to how to do this. Anyone? Someone? Bueller? Please?

TIA.

Can someone help me troubleshoot a Canon iPF5100 printer?

We use a Canon iPF5100 printer which we have owned for two years. It seems to be having problems with the printhead. I am getting a message (when I try to print) along the lines of ‘printhead (r), check nozzles’. There is some banding when I print, and the machine is making weird noises.

I checked some troubleshooting sites, but I need ‘fix your printer for dummies’: where is the printhead, and what do I do with it to make it work again?
