    Today’s announcement is HP’s broadest-ever commercial range of printing solutions designed to help small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) improve their marketing effectiveness, boost business productivity and better-manage their printing environments.

According to IT research firm IDC, HP is the leading provider of both inkjet and laser hardcopy peripherals (printers + MFPs) shipped to SMBs* in the Asia Pacific (excl. Japan) region, with a 45%(caret) market share and strong double digit year-on-year growth of 16% in 4Q 2007. HP has held this No. 1 leadership position for the past 20 consecutive quarters(1). HP also continued to increase its lead in the high growth SMB* laser printer + laser All-in-One (AiO) segment in Asia Pacific (excl. Japan) in Q4 2007 with a strong 46% market share and 24% year-on-year growth(2).

The SMB printing space (including hardware, supplies and services) presents a tremendous opportunity for HP’s Imaging and Printing Group valued at US$ 103 billion globally by 2010. Within this market, there is a lucrative opportunity specifically for the development of in-house marketing collaterals. HP estimates this in-house marketing opportunity to be around US$ 40 billion by 2010.

Increasing SMBs’ Marketing Effectiveness

To capture this opportunity for the development of in-house marketing collaterals, HP has introduced new SMB-optimised colour printing solutions that are designed to help them cost-effectively create their own in-house marketing materials and boost their marketing effectiveness :

— HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer Series — Priced from US$ 249, HP’s lowest priced desktop colour laser printer ever.

— HP Color LaserJet CP1510 Printer Series (HP Color LaserJet CP1515n/1518ni) – Powered by the newly formulated HP ColourSphere Toner, this printer series produce high-quality professional colour documents and marketing collaterals from the desktop. It also includes a complimentary HP In-House Marketing starter kit.

— HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series — HP’s lowest priced Color LaserJet MFP with fax.

— HP Color LaserJet CP6015 printer series – Up to A3 sized colour business document creation centre with advanced finishing features, including booklet maker, stapler and banner printing to deliver in-house marketing and publishing capabilities in the office.

— Newly formulated HP ColorSphere Toner — Helps customers produce print-shop quality photos and documents in-house by delivering a wider range of colours, higher gloss.

— HP 4″x6″Color Laser Photo Paper — The world’s first heavyweight photo paper of its size designed for laser printing.

— HP Professional Presentation Books — Innovative binding system allows users to simply fold back the covers and slide in pages quickly. No hole punching or binding machine required.

SMBs Do More With Online Print 2.0 Resources and New Printing Tools

Through the HP Print 2.0 strategy, HP is also empowering SMBs to increase their marketing effectiveness with new tools and online resources. Following the launch of the HP Smart Web Printing software, Logoworks by HP and the Tabblo Print Toolkit in October 2007, HP today also announced the availability of an expanded range of in-house marketing tools and solutions, including:

— HP In-house Marketing (IHM) Starter Kit – A comprehensive package of free tools, templates, resources and materials to help SMBs produce their own professional marketing collaterals.

— HP Color Expertise Centre – An online destination designed as a one-stop shop to help small businesses improve their marketing effectiveness by presenting their business in a different light via online tools, guides and templates.

— HP Print View Software – Allows for greater control when developing marketing collaterals in-house. SMBs can quickly and easily change various print settings and instantly see how they affect the document to achieve the exact look needed. New HP LaserJet MFPs and Officejet AiOs provide SMBs with a wide choice of class-leading performance and capabilities that boost their productivity:

— HP LaserJet M1319f MFP — HP’s lowest-priced monochrome LaserJet MFP with fax.

— HP LaserJet P4015 Printer series — Value-packed single-function printer for large groups that are seeking a secure printing environment.

— HP LaserJet P4510 Printer series — HP’s fastest single-function monochrome LaserJet printer with speeds of up to 62 pages per minute and advanced security performance.

— Newly enhanced monochrome toner formulation — This latest advancement in toner technology enables the consistently outstanding print quality and reliability while requiring 15% less power to melt in HP’s fastest monochrome printers. The new toner is available in HP LaserJet P4015 and P4510 printer series.

HP also introduced a new system rebrand for its ink-based HP Officejet line-up. The all-new HP Officejet branded printers and cartridges are specially designed to boost SMB productivity through high-volume, low-cost per page business printing. In addition the new system makes selection at the purchase stage easier than ever before.

HP also announced new and improved online tools and solutions to help SMBs effectively manage their printing fleet. New solutions include:

— HP Easy Printer Care Software 2.5i (EPC 2.5i) -Now with broad support for most HP business inkjet devices, EPC 2.5i makes it easier to set-up, maintain and quickly view the status of up to 15 devices.
