Hp Color Laserjet Cm2320Nf – Network Ready Color Laser Mfc

by Andres Rueda

The HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf is a heavy hitter in the performance field with the power to print, copy, scan, and fax in both black and white ink as well as full color. Thanks to a 450 MHz processor and a long list of powerful specifications, the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf, though pricey, is one of the most versatile machines on the market today.

Though a color multifunctional device such as the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf will cost a user easily over five hundred dollars, it is possible to actually save money overall when incorporating a machine such as this into one’s current office hardware thanks to the combination of many machines into a single, powerful unit. With print speeds of 21 pages per minute in both monochrome and color as well, along with a 40,000 page maximum monthly duty cycle, high volume is an option for this robust multi purpose center.

The HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf’s scanner is compatible with the device’s automatic document feeder for massive scan input possibilities, though it lacks a legal sized document glass, making scans larger than standard, letter sized paper only accessible through the ADF.  A color bit depth of 42 bits and an optical scan resolution selectable up to 1200 dots per inch means scans will look clean and clear. A scan speed of up to 15 pages per minute when using default quality settings, and a useful scan-to function make the data input easy, and fast.

With a 50 page built in automatic document feeder, not only can massive scans be left unattended for complete automation, but copies and faxes as well, though copy resolution suffers slightly at only 600 x 600 dots per inch in both black and white or color (print resolution is 600 x 600 dots per inch). Fax transmissions, however, run quite smoothly with the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf thanks to a 3 seconds per page transmission speed and a built in fax memory of up to 250 pages.

Fax resolution can be set to high quality 203 x 196 dots per inch, and the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf also holds up to 120 numbers in its speed dial memory. Auto redial, fax delayed setting, fax broadcasting (up to 119 locations), a junk fax barrier, polling, and fax forwarding are some of the useful features incorporated into the device that make fax work loads as efficient and easy as possible.

Not only does the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf include a built in high speed USB 2.0 port for single computer usage, but a built in Ethernet/ Fast Ethernet network RJ-45 port as well for incredibly fast networking abilities that allow full remote control for all abilities save one: Macintosh users will not be able to use the full range of scanning functions over the network, but, with only this one minor network drawback, and wireless expandability available, the HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf stands its ground as one of the most fully loaded MFCs on the market today, regardless of price.

Hp Color Laserjet Cp4005N – Wired Network Ready Color Laser Printer

by Giovy.it

Though the HP Color LaserJet CP4005n lacks an automatic duplexor like its sister model, the HP Color LaserJet CP4005dn, it does come equipped with a network card allowing this impressively fast color laser printer to interface with an entire networked office and full advantage to be taken of its high monthly duty cycle, and notable print specifications.

With print speeds of up to 30 pages per minute for letter sized paper, the HP Color LaserJet CP4005n is intended to minimize wait time when dealing with heavy work loads. While color printing tops out at 25 pages per minute, the model’s speed is competitive with any color laser device in the CP4005n’s category.

HP intended to make the HP Color LaserJet CP4005n as user friendly as possible, and has included additional software to help first time users get started taking advantage of this high powered unit. HP Marketing Assistant software allows full control over the entire printing process, letting users maximize efficiency, as well as confidentiality. The software also includes templates to help speed up the process of producing marketing materials.

128 MBs of total memory are included with the device, but this is expandable up to 512 MBs for optimal performance under high stress conditions, such as in a networking scenario. A front loading 100 sheet multipurpose tray allows for easy and automatic media production onto special paper types including plain, glossy, colored, preprinted, letterhead, recycled, HP tough and high-gloss laser, as well as envelopes, transparencies, labels, and cardstock.

A 500 sheet standard letter or legal sized tray is also implemented into the hardware, bringing the unit’s stock paper storage total up to 600 sheets, however, an additional 500 sheet tray is available as an add on, making the HP Color LaserJet CP4005n’s paper potential 1,100 sheets, while the unit’s paper handling abilities are complemented with an incredibly large 500 sheet face down output tray.

At over a hundred pounds, with dimensions of 20.5 x 23.5 x 24.7 in (W x D x H), the unit is not exactly petite, and would be quite cumbersome for use in a home office, especially with the paper tray open which, when extended, brings the units footprint up to 20.5 x 37.4 x 22.9 inches, taking up over three feet of depth. At this size, you would expect the device to offer robust overall duty statistics, and it delivers.

The HP Color LaserJet CP4005n is rated at up to 80,000 pages maximum monthly duty, with a recommended usage between 2,000 and 7,500 pages for optimal performance. For a color laser printer, these numbers are very high, and represent a device that can withstand constant work demands.

HP also backs this printer with their award winning customer service, including a one year limited warranty, web and phone based technical support, and a year of next day, on site repair service. With a company like HP behind this product, and over 100,000 LaserJet printers sold worldwide, you can trust that a purchase of an HP Color LaserJet CP4005n will leave you in good hands, at least for twelve months.

HP LaserJet 4050n ? Network Ready Device with Envelope Feeder

Posted: Apr 28, 2010 |Comments: 0

Boasting both networking capabilities and a high monthly duty cycle, as well as rarely seen features such as a very high capacity envelope feeder, the HP LaserJet 4050n offers unique solutions for small to medium sized offices in need of printing output in high volume on media types other than your standard letter and legal sizes.

With a 75 envelope feeder built in to the HP LaserJet 4050n, as well as an advertised maximum monthly duty cycle of 65,000 printed pages, offices or home businesses dealing with a large amount of snail mail will be in envelope heaven. Standard paper handling capacities are decent as well with the device, totaling 600 sheets worth of storage capacity composed of a single 500 sheet tray along with a 100 sheet priority slot.

Thanks to the help of ceramic technology, the HP LaserJet 4050n offers an Instant On feature which means zero warm up time, and a first page out time of only 13 seconds. Regular print speeds run at up to 17 pages per minute onto letter sized paper, placing the unit somewhere in the middle of its class. It is, however, high up there concerning raw size.

With a footprint of 19 in x 15 in x 14 in (W x D x H), the HP LaserJet 4050n stands out as a heavier model. This is mostly due to its age, as current printers on the market run much sleeker, and come as light as half this unit’s weight of 43 lbs.

Standard memory included is a decent 8 MBs, which should keep all text document related projects running along optimally. However, for complex projects, internal DIMM slots make memory upgrades up to 192 MBs possible for minimal slowdown. Also upgradable is the unit’s paper storage capacity, with a single 500 sheet tray available for purchase separately that brings the units potential paper capacity up to an impressive 1,100 sheets total. Output capacity is locked at 300 sheets, with 250 sheets up top, and 50 in the rear.

With a rear output tray, a straight through paper path option is made possible. This is especially useful for the envelope users who don’t wish to crease or bend their product. An optional hard disk worth 3.2 GBs is a great choice when permanent, on board storage is required for those who print the same thing often, or are transporting the device to a new location.

Built in wired Ethernet capabilities make the HP LaserJet 4050n network ready, and its sturdy build and monthly duty cycle make it perfect as a backup printer for larger offices due to its abilities for mass output. Unfortunately, though the unit is network ready, it is equipped only with Parallel and serial ports for single computer connectivity. No USB port is incorporated into the hardware whatsoever.

While the HP LaserJet 4050n is a fairly standard device on many fronts, its envelope feeder makes it a great option as a special media type only workgroup unit for offices that have a frequent demand for abnormal paper sizes.

HP LaserJet 4000n ? Network Ready Printer with Straight Through Paper Path

As the network ready variant to the HP LaserJet 4000, the HP LaserJet 4000n comes with Ethernet capabilities included, as well as a boost in RAM to assist with the additional demands placed on a network device. All together, the LaserJet 4000n is a well thought out machine capable of print and network speeds appropriate for an office of limited size. Additionally, as the unit has been discontinued, bargain hunters could potentially snag it up at a discount price.

An additional 4 MBs of ram over the base model HP LaserJet 4000′s 4 MBs (8 MBs total) is intended to keep print speeds moving along at optimal capacity under heavy stress due to a network. If users find themselves bogging down the printer to an unacceptable degree, additional memory upgrades are also available. Multiple DIMM slots are available for upgrades such as 16 MB EDO DIMMs or 32 MB SDRAM DIMMs. Flash DIMM permanent storage and even specific font DIMM cards such as traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese is also available.

Other additional hardware available to upgrade the HP LaserJet 4000n includes an HP JetDirect print serve EIO card, and a hard disk option for permanent storage of frequently used data, such as a job application or employee registration sheet. The maximum total memory, however, is 100 MBs.

While the HP LaserJet 4000n prints at 17 pages per minute onto letter sized paper, its competitive 16 page per minute legal sized print speed is more impressive. This almost lossless speed is due in part to a built in 100 MHz RISC processor. Resolution also runs high thanks to both ProRes 1200 and FastRes 1200 quality options. Other print levels of 300 or 600 dots per inch are also selectable for potential speed boosts when dealing with low resolution graphs or charts.

Paper handling abilities come standard in the form of a 500 sheet paper tray, but accessories are available. An additional 500 sheet tray can double the standard storage capacity when high volume printing is necessary, and a unique, high capacity 75 envelope power feeder can be attached as well, which is perfect for businesses with a demand for custom postage material.

An external duplexor is also available for purchase, which can not only add a professional look and feel to single sheet documents, as well as booklets, but cut down on overall paper costs. While the HP LaserJet 4000n does come standard with the 500 sheet tray, HP also offers users an interesting option of having two 250 sheet trays in its place. This would only be a valuable asset when constant swapping from various paper sizes would come into play.

A simplified control panel makes accessing various controls and settings available directly from the unit itself, though wired setting changes are optional as well. For thicker media types, such as transparencies, the HP LaserJet 4000n includes a rear fold out tray that allows for a straight through paper path to prevent crimping. This, along with HP’s 12 month warranty, makes the 4000n a viable option for users in demand of a standard office printer.
