For example, Beyond Autumn Gate, etc. Not the classic print version. The real limited editions.

Organising A Seminar or Conference ? Get Some USB Pens

If you’re been tasked to organise a seminar or conference then on your “to-do” list is going to be incredibly long and will no doubt include much of the following:

Identify and book venue making sure it’s the right size for the expected audience, it’s in a location your speakers and attendees can get to and from relatively easily. You also need to make sure that the venue projects the right image for your event. Remember the little things like power to run projectors and computers, lecterns for speakers, adequate height in the room to accommodate your screens and seating that people are going to be happy to sit on for hours at a time.
Get your advertising in place early; use all available channels to promote the event including mailing lists, the web, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Confirm your speakers and be prepared to chase them for copies of their slides, their bio’s and their speakers’ notes. – make sure they all know where they are going and any specific requirements (dietary etc.) are catered for.
Confirm the attendee numbers to the venue and book the catering and refreshments accordingly
Arrange for in-venue signage so the attendees can find their way to the event.
Select and order some appropriate “thank you” gifts for the speakers.
Organise name badges and consider any special seating arrangements for the day.
Prepare copies of all of the presentation material from the day to distribute to the attendees. (copy slides, fact sheets, media files, speakers bio’s, running order for the day and information on any follow up events they might be interested in.
On the day make sure the attendees have access to paper, pens and refreshments on their tables.

Of course this is by no means a full or comprehensive list more just a “flavour” of the challenge that lies ahead of you. The trick is to take a sharp intake of breath, be grateful for the opportunity/trust that been put in you and plan, plan and plan! Well, a little execution of your plans might also be necessary!

One little thing that might make your life easier and help you to look like a hero is the use of a USB pen – not just any old USB pen drive mind you but a writing pen that also incorporates a USB flash drive. It’ll make your life easier because this one item will allow you to tick off a number of items on your “to-do” list:

The USB pen can be used as a “thank you gift” for the speakers
The USB pen can be pre-loaded with all of the presentation material from the day, speakers bio’s etc. This means you won’t have to print them and transport them to the venue (hundreds of hard copies of slides and notes can take ages to prepare and collated and will weigh a ton!)
The USB pen can be used by the delegates to write notes with during the event
Finally the USB pens can be branded up with your company’s name or the event sponsors name to provide a powerful memento of the event the event.

USB pens will save you time and effort and their cost can be more than offset against the savings you’ll make by not printing material (cost and time). They’re also likely to be popular with the attendees who will have a useful gift that contains all of the event information so that it can be transferred to their PC when they get home or back to the office.

Some Tips to Troubleshoot an HP Printer

Do you have HP printer? It is one of the most popular printers which are available for you today. It is widely used either as for home or office use. If you find any error or failure to your printer, you can follow the following guides for helping you troubleshoot the errors.

There are some common failures which HP printer has. By knowing the failure, you can easily resolve it. The first thing you can do is to point the failure by delivering a print job or you can also have a test print page. Listen how your printer works and how long before it comes to a jam.

Try to pull out all of the paper trays if your printer supports for multiple trays and leave one tray. If you note that the problem occurs with the tray, it is possibly caused by the defective or worn rollers. Then, pull the defective tray until it clicks. Lift the tray up gently. Then, find the rollers in the printer.

See the rollers and feel them with your hand. The good condition rollers are rough when you touch it. If you feel them smooth, they must be worn out so that you have to replace them. When you replace the roller with the new one, you have to make sure that they click into its proper place. The rollers are made to be able to slip onto the metal prong which extends from the printer. For removing the old rollers, you need to glide them off the prong.

The next thing that you have to do is to push the tray into its proper place carefully. Make sure that it glides smoothly into the printer. For checking it, you can make a test by printing a page. It also allows you to see the jam.

Another common failure which is found on this type of printer is its fuser cartridge. In most the models, the fuser cartridge is commonly placed on the left hand side in the printer. For pulling it out, you have to open the left-hand door then search the black cartridge in the rectangular shape. However, you have to make sure that the printer has already been cool off. Right after pulling the fuser out, you have to see the rollers on it. They normally move smoothly. If you find that the wheels are detained, you have to replace them.

However, before using your printer, you have to make sure that it has enough power supply since the inadequate power supply can cause your printer to automatically off so  which further can lead to a damage. I wanted to save some money anywhere that I could, so I switched to printing services for my marketing

When you are trying to find ways to save money for your business, don’t forget about the obvious things. One of the things that you are going to want to remember is your marketing department. There are often places where you can cut the budget in this area. I have found that doing things such as printing flyers rather than using other marketing forms has been able to help me to save more money for myself.

I started using a digital printing Reading company recently to help me out with all of the marketing efforts that I was making. I felt that this was a great way for me to be able to capture the meaning of my marketing while at the same time capturing a lot of the dollars that I was losing through the other marketing campaigns that I was doing. One of the main things that I do while I am doing my marketing now is all printing services . The reason for that is simply because of the fact that I feel that this is one of the cheapest things that can be done. Just because printing services is a cheap way for you to do your marketing does not mean that it is not effective. There are many people who still responded positively to the new marketing that I was doing.

I feel that it is great that I have been able to find a less expensive way to do marketing. I would recommend this kind of budget trimming to everyone.
