Envelope Printing ? Type of Flaps & Closure Complement To Your Envelopes

An envelope printing project is about much more than just selection of sizes and paper quality. There are much more important aspects of these business stationeries that demand closer looks and considering myriad options. Flaps and closures are two important areas that add to the formation of the envelopes. The closures you want must be dependant upon how you want to protect your documents and how you want to present it, whether open or closed. Depending upon how you want to seal your mailings, you can decide whether you want a

Standard seal is the seal that is required to be moistened with gums to remain stuck and closed.

Self-closing indicates to closing the document by ripping off the plastic backing that exposes a synthetic, permanent gum. This gum in self-closing envelopes prevents hassles of using tongue or messes of using sponge. The permanent gum protects contents inside tight for a long time or a long journey.

Reusable closing is ideal for envelope that is intended for interoffice or driver logs and etc. Reusable closure features clasps, fancy button and string to ensure safety of documents against getting torn.

No adhesive or un-gummed closing is perfect for the printing project which is not needed to be closed or does not require sealing. In this way, you can save on closing or gumming costs and forgo the gum. If you are printing large reusable envelope or keeping small items, consider no-gumming option for your printing project.

Similarly, you may consider an open end or an open end flap or a booklet catalogue. The open end or catalogue options have flap at the short end forming a portrait orientation. On the other hand, if your envelope printing project needs a landscape orientation, consider an open side or booklet flap design where the flap is kept at the long end. After you have made up your mind on the right kind of flaps or closing according to the one you are going to print – you are all set and get going for print.

What is the most Popular Type of Branded USB Memory Stick

With hundreds of thousands of USB Memory sticks being purchased every year by Companies in all different business sectors its interesting to consider which type of memory stick most of them buy and why.

Branded and Promotional USB Memory Sticks come in all different shapes and sizes, some small, some large, some with caps, some that retract and some with a “twisting” cover. Most accommodate lanyards or key rings, some are manufactured from plastic, and some from metal and increasingly some are made from recycled materials like wood or bamboo.

Its also possible to have a bespoke branded USB Memory stick that is say made in the shape of one of your companies products, e.g. a wine bottle, a car, pretty much anything you can think of.

But, despite this the most popular promotional USB memory sticks used by companies, organisations, schools and universities to promote their brand, to use as “giveaways” to hand out to their staff or students remains the USB “Twister” model (also referred to as the Swivel model).

Like most great designs it’s the simplicity that makes this particular memory stick a winner. It carries the printed brand well, its relatively small, it works with a lanyard and/or key ring but most importantly there is no cap to lose!  It seems that these simple elements and the ability to offer companies a different colour body shell (optionally pantone matched to a companies brand) make it a real favourite.

The launch of the “retractable” USB Memory stick looked as though it might threaten the crown of the “twister” but this has not proven to be the case and its dominance prevails.

So, if you’re considering USB Memory sticks as a promotional item and you want to know what’s working for most companies then, based on what’s happening in the market, it’s the Twister!

What type of printer troubleshooting do Systems Administrator normally deal with on the print server?

I have an interview coming up for a jr admin position that deals only with creating, deleting, and monitoring print queues on the server. Just curious to know what type of troubleshooting do admin normally experience with on the print side of things (e.g. print drivers, duplexing, queue mismatches, etc.)
