Oh gosh can you believe the year’s about to end already? Just two more years till we all die! Haha, kidding. That is the year I graduate though..Anyways, I’m feeling like my usual self here on Flickr and it’s been a while since i’ve felt that way so.. I’ve been tagged a lot since last time I checked! I’ve been tagged by Macho Muffin, undertheradar, allistancil, londonscene, alexa♡, ihnen zu halten, sleeping on stones, priscila♥elise, hey summer, Megan Dooge, ▲fifty acres (not necessarily in any order!) It’s been a while since i’ve done one of these so here it goes:
1.) I didn’t feel any holiday spirit this year and I still really don’t. Maybe because where I live it doesn’t snow and it’s still warm enough to wear shorts outside.
2.) I’ve been having this silly dream lately that once I get my keyboard for christmas and put up videos on youtube, i’ll get famous. YEAH RIGHT. One can dream though. (:
3.) I’m doing a 52 weeks in 2011
4.) I really want a henna tattoo of an anchor.
5.) I’m getting tired of my snakebites.
6.) I’m terrible at writing letters to people I promised I would. I’m hoping to fix that because it’s really unfair. :/
7. my last giveaway was a total FAIL, so i’m gonna do one all over again really soon and choose much, much fewer winners this time around. I apologize to those who I chose as winners, it’s unfair to you too but it’s better to start all over again. In the future, I can send you a print to make up for it. (:
8.) I love circa survive. They’re amazing.
9.) I would love for someone to write me a letter for no reason.
10.) screw this. I can’t think of anything.

One Year

One year in my life…365 days…27 cities all over the world
Within this tree are every latitude and longitude that I was at for one year. How long I was there dictates the size of the font used on each lat/long. The three more major "branches" of the tree are the three places I lived the longest…Florence, Clemson and Barcelona. The smaller branches correspond to places I went while I was living in one of those three locations. For instance, Paris is a branch off of Barcelona, etc.
The tree was chosen to "map" out my year because of its organic nature and its relationship to growth. The green ovals were drawn with washable marker and painted over with water.
This design was created for a printmaking project. The numbers of the tree and the ovals were printed onto a transparency and then shot onto a solar plate. The plate was then cut in half that the two parts could be printed as different colors. The green of the tree was printed first in a very transparent lime green. The tree was then printed in a deep brown.
Better if viewed large.

Taken at the same time as the previous shot.. older sister also joined in the fun and I ended up with a fun photo session!!!
Also attached is a colored version and cropped one in the comments. Can’t decide which one I like the most, I think I like all of them.. wife wants one of them printed and framed.. which one?
